X-ray optical system performances

Based on a set of overall system requirements and limitations, we can develop a specific Figure of Merit which will allow the optimization of performance by selecting the best set of optical elements and the optimizations of reflective coatings, if relevant, for all elements. The final performance is predicted by ray tracing. The tools generated for the design phase is subsequently used to analyze data from the X-ray optical system. Examples of this expertise include the design of X-ray collimators and focusing X-ray systems such as X-ray telescopes.
